I'm having the exact same symptoms as Tina Wink. Changes on Mac Calendar are not syncing to Google web view; however changes at Google Web ARE syncing to Mac. Reiterating: Google to Mac good, Mac to Google bad. More evidence: iPad works both ways with Google web view.
